Equestrian competition with Sigma 50-150 f2.8 (8 pic)
May 17, 2011

Last February, I bought the last Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 available locally. I knew that right out of the box, most of them have a focussing problem and that it would probably need to be sent to Sigma. The simple test I ran showed that it was front focussing. I had it serviced by Sigma and it’s now a great lens. My primary use for the lens will be equestrian sport (my daughter do competitions) and portrait. My daughter had a competition two weeks ago and it was my first real opportunity to experiment with the lens. I’m very happy with the results. Fast AF, good contrast and excellent shapness. Here are some pictures taken :

Taken in the stable, the week before the competition:

112mm, f2.8, 1/100s, ISO 2000 (no noise reduction applied at processing)

Thanks for looking !
