10D with Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM ? ? ?

Hi!

I am interested in buying this Lens, I have a Canon EOS 10D, (EF mount)

I am a Beginer, and wanted to buy this kind of lens that would be usefull in all situations.
And then maybe change the body for a newer one.

I asked B&H and first someone told me that this lens wasn´t compatible.
So I sent an email to SIGMA, and they tell me it should work with a 10D.

this review also says CANON EF mount, so tecnically it should work:

I talked to another person in B&H and told me that it works...

Does tried used this Lens with the 10d?

Do you recomend it?
Or maybe can recomend another lens?

I want to boy this one because I haven´t found anything similar in canon...
the 18-135 lens from Canon is EF-S only, so it wont work.

I need to make a decision soon...
