Simple photo-editing software ?

Can anyone recommend a simple editing program that I can download? I'm travelling in Europe with a Netbook and sending a few images to friends each day. I have just been straightening them and doing a little contrast adjust in Irfanview, but would really like to correct some vignetting and do a little perspective correction if possible.
Can anyone suggest a downloadable app that will run on a netbook (Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz) with 2 mbs RAM ?
