The 3G appears to be a major advancement involving some of the issues that limit m4/3 in comparison to APS-C. Low light performance and dynamic range performance improvements address a big issue. However, as with all things in modern digital photography the advancements will get surpassed with the next generation of cameras. Thus, the 7DIII in APS-C and in full frame the 5DMarkIII will move the bar even higher.

The good news for m4/3 is that already the performance is excellent and I'm now using my EPL 2 more than my 7D purely on a size and convenience basis. However, if I know I'm shooting in low light, shooting surfing or other sports or out birding I'll take my 7D and would even if I get the G1 or await the rumored Oly pro m4/3.
