RAW or JPEG

I had been shooting on my D90 with 14-24mm F2.8G lense for quite sometimes and all the while had been shooting in a JPEG format. I had been thinking whether should I switch my pictures format to RAW as I don't really go into photoshop which I knew RAW format pictures allow for editing. Does RAW pictures provide much more better quality in JPEG? In terms of sizes, I knew RAW requires higher capacity storage but just wondering whether should I switch to that.
