I've been looking at the D90, D5100, D7000; canon 600D and 60D.

Here are my thoughts as I was looking at the cameras in the store:

I loved the grip and feel of the D90, it felt just right in my hands which is in the end why I went with it.

D5100 felt a little small and I wasn't crazy about the placement of the buttons.

D7000 felt just fine, maybe a little bit on the heavy side..

Canon 600D, a little bit on the small side and the buttons felt cheapo.

Canon 60D felt very solid.

The reason why I haven't unboxed it yet is because I am worrying about D90 being a little dated and being slightly outperformed by the other cameras in some areas. The price difference to the D7000 is quite significant. Not sure that I will use the movie feature that much. I intend to use it primarily outdoors taking pictures of radio controlled airplanes and when on vacation. This is my first digital SLR.
Should I unbox it?

Thankful for any input!
