Gimp vs. Paint.net. Which one is better?

...call Paint.net and then return the result back to GIMP (well with Python, you can even call Photoshop and then return the result back into GIMP; someone at a thread that I frequent indeed did just in response to a challenge; lol). Details at link below. I use it all the time in order to use XNView as a proxy for running my PS filters since GIMP 2.6.11 nearly completely broke PSPI. There is a cool plugin for Paint.net that will allow you run execute PS plugins too, so you could, in essence, call Paint.net to run PS plugins and return that result back into GIMP instead of using XNView.
