Query re: Shutter Actuation Verification
May 4, 2011

Hi,

Is there a surefire way of determining the actual shutter actuations of a used camera. I have read in sales adverts recently statements like the 'file numbering system has not been altered' for example. Is there ways of cheating the actuation count system or is this something that can still be retrieved irrespective of someone having changing the file numbering. I'm a bit confused regarding this as I thought the actuation count was something that was fixed and that was it - no matter what anyone did re files etc..

Can someone who really understands this throw some light onto it for me - it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian
