It All Depends is the normal answer here. I can think of a few reasons to Need a pair of camera bodies. #1 you are being paid to photograph, and #2 you are very serious about your hobby.

I cannot think of a time when I needed two camera bodies but then again I'm not a pro. So I agree with the majority of other responders, just get a K-5. It is every other past Pentax rolled into one - High ISO, WR, full featured and fast. I can't wait to get my hands on one.
