Two SLRs for low and high ISO?
Apr 28, 2011

Hi all,

Just looking for some general feedback on whether folks out there are using two camera bodies specifically for low and high ISO shooting. I have the K-7 and am considering adding a K-r body for indoor shots. Questions:

  • Are many of you combining the K-5/K-7 and K-x/K-r in this way?

  • For those who are, does the difference in high-ISO performance justify the indulgence?

I'm very happy with my K-7 for daylight and flash, but find it disappointing for spur-of-the-moment indoor shots. Indoor stuff is mainly window-filtered daylight as opposed to artificial light.

Any thoughts or experience appreciated!
