I have been contracted to photograph completed kitchens by a local cabinet shop. I use a Canon 17-40L lens on my 5DmkII. You can check out some examples on my site here: http://jrainsphoto.com/New_Site/Commercial_Album/Pages/Commercial_Work.html & here at there site: http://www.frostkeading.com

The key is a sturdy professional tripod & proper f-stop. I have examined the images at 100% and they are very sharp. I am sure the primes would give a bit better image but this setup provides more than what is needed in this case. The zoom is extremely helpful in kitchens as sometimes you literally have your back against a wall and need the versatility without a lens change or reposition. Hope this helps.
