Will I outgrow the NX-10??

I have had the NX-10 for several months and I love it. I have all the current lenses & the flash but am really interested in the 18-200 when it is available (nice to not have to change lenses all the time). I have several friends that have Nikon D90 & Nikon D7000 - they say I will soon outgrow this camera and will want to move up to the next level. So, should I spend $800 on this new lens? Will I then have too much invested in this level of camera? I am planning a trip to Africa in a few months and want to be able to capture the best photos possible. Any thoughts or comments?
