Lens Choice: The Baby Beercan or the 'Hidden G'?

Hi, I'm a new member here from Malaysia, but have lurked for a few months

I'm currently having a problem making decisions for a lens purchase - the Baby Beercan (Minolta 35-70mm f4) or the Hidden G (Minolta 35-105mm f3.5-4.5).

The 35-70mm is MYR 350 (USD 115) and the 35-105mm is MYR 450 (USD 150).

My current line-up is the kit 18-70mm, 75-300mm, and a Mino 50/1.7.

Looking to somewhat replace the kit with something sharper.

I'm a student so anything above USD 150 is not in my budget.

Any comments on the difference between two lenses in terms of IQ (sharpness mainly) and performance? Sharpness is my main concern. If you have other lenses to recommend that is better than these lenses (and in my budget) please do so.

If it helps, I'm using an A200 and maybe upgrading to A580 next week.
