Last night's ISS pass over Manila ( mag -3.2)
Apr 17, 2011

Last night's ISS pass over Manila was a magnitude -3.2. The skies were cloudless but the atmospheric conditions were less than ideal. Even if the focus was accurate, the sharpness of the ISS varied from frame to frame, perhaps due to the "wave effect" which was easily visible in the 7D's LCD when I manually prefocused at the moon.

We have a forthcoming close fly-by (mag - 3.8) on the early morning of April 18th. Crossing my fingers that the seeing conditions will be much better.
