Re: What should mirrorless cameras be called?

The word "Mirrorless" may soon become incorrect since more advanced DSLRs use prisms instead. Therefore this option should be removed.

The word "Compact" may also become incorrect as when this system inevitably migrates to professional bodies camera makers may still want to keep their bodies bulky and weighty to counterbalance lens weights.

Bringing in "Micro" is a reference to micro fourth-thirds (but now we have APS-C models out there). The use of "Single Lens" seems redundant.

There are no remaining options to vote for.

I think the use of the words "Interchangeable lens" should be continued with, in order to differentiate from fixed lens options, of which there are many.

"Interchangeable lens camera" instead of "interchangeable lens compact" may be better.
