elph 330/500 vs s95

ok i know the s95 seems to be the best low light camera out there for a p&s pocket size camera, how does the 300/500 elph compare? I know they are much cheaper but will they take good low light, similar to the s95? I definately don't want to spend 400 on the s95, so i have been looking into one of these other 2? what is the real difference betweeen the 300 and 500 ?
