Should I change my D3100 for a D5100?

Main benefits so far for me:
14mp to 16mp;
Side-articulated LCD (230k pixel to 921k pixel);
Backeting;
I think it is an upgrade, but not a huge upgrade, just a few things gets better. Am I wrong? Please share your thoughts.
The D3100 is my first DSLR and I am learning a lot. My main use is for vacation travels.
