Retarted challenge

I haven't been flamed in ages, so I guess I'm in the mood ...
Just my opinion, but I think the challenge "I smell PANCAKES" is utterly retarted. http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/Challenge.aspx?ID=4256
The rules state "NO PP" and "MUST BE STRAIGHT OUT OF CAMERA JPEG, or IF IT WAS FROM RAW, THEN ALL RAW DEVELOPMENT ADJUSTMENTS MUST BE DESCRIBED".
Pray tell how does one shoot in RAW and not post process? And what really is accomplished by requiring "straight out of camera JPEG" since in-camera creation of a JPEG (which itself is processing of the RAW image) differs from camera to camera? And isn't the point of shooting in RAW precisely for the ability to post process and tease out the best result possible from the digital capture?
It's almost as though there is an underlying assumption that post processing is cheating and/or that it is antithetical to the "purity" of photography for photography's sake. Please, give me a big fat break.
My opinion - challenges that say no PP are utterly lame and designed for people who are too lazy to learn anything about PP.
Okay, let the flames begin!
