Pro9000 Mk.II - I imagine this is related to a damaged print head?
Mar 31, 2011

Hey everyone, so I just got my Pro9000 Mk.II today, and after I set it all up, I couldn't help but notice that... well, the entire ink group 1 doesn't print at all.

Here's a quick (cell phone) shot of the nozzle check patterns:

After several head cleanings, deep cleanings, and 10+ nozzle checks, the result is always the same.

Curiously, though, I can't help but notice that the cleaning pads off to the right are dirtied with the inks that aren't printing.

I imagine the issue IS a faulty print head that shipped with the printer, unless someone else here has had any experience with a similar issue?

[I mostly want to diagnose the issue to figure out whether I should keep working at it or just get a replacement head from Canon. Too bad if that's the case, too! I wanted to get some printing done today!]

Any help would be appreciated
