Sigma 3D effect - examples

regarding the so often quoted 3D effect that a Foveon can produce.

Below you can find 2 examples where I think this effect is rather clearly visible.

Note that this was NOT produced by using a large f-stop and isolating front and back parts of the picture.

In the picture of my wife you can see her hair in front of her face - in focus - and her eyelashes behind the hair in focus as well - still the hair seems to stand out.

The same in the picure of the trees below - the branches are in focus and the fencewire behind the trees asd well. Still one can see clearly that some branches are in front of others.

I attribute this effect to a very sharp lens together with a sensor that does not blur the edges at all.
