60D: EF 85mm 1.8 or EF-S 60mm 2.8?

Hi all,
Just curious to find out opinions between the EF 85mm 1.8 and the EF-S 60mm 2.8 Macro (on an APS-C, obviously). I'm shooting with a 60D. I have the kit lens, 18-135mm, and I recently picked up the 28mm 1.8. I like shooting primes. I'm mainly concerned with getting a lens for shooting portraits more easily, as well as grabbing some shots of my buddy who plays a lot of open mics and smaller venue shows.
I don't find that I have a strong opinion on either of the focal lengths. I can usually back up or move in to cover the difference with ease. I'm concerned primarily with what lens will deliver the superior image quality.
What do those of you find who have these lenses? Is it worth paying extra for the macro capabilities (I'd probably enjoy macro)? Is the difference between 28mm and 85mm too large?
Thanks for your replies and opinions.
Best,
Taylor
