Have this lens for only a few hours, but am already in love. Autofocus is very accurate and lightning fast; IS easily provides 4 stops of correction. Sharpness is immaculate. Combined with the high resolution of the 60D, it makes for a really great combo. I may exchange the 70-200 for the 70-300L, as I may need the extra 100mm when going full frame in the future. I heard the sharpness is similar between that lens and the 70-200 (I hate to make any compromises on sharpness now that I am spoiled, so I will need to give it a thorough test). When using the resolution comparison tool on thedigitalpicture.com though, the 70-300L is noticeable less sharp then the 70-300f4.

My apologies for the "boring" cat picture, but just got the lens and it's already dark outside. At this low shutter speed (1/8), still a nicely sharp image.
