I'd like clean high ISO like many other people. I see advantages to it, but I'd like ISO lower than 100 too. It would be nice to avoid sticking an ND filter on your lens in many cases. Good ND filters are expensive. They are another piece of glass that has to be cleaned. Also it is quicker to change ISO instead of digging out the filter and screwing it on. It makes more sense if you only need the ND filter for a shot or two, then it has to be removed and put back in the bag.

With lower ISO, you might be able to get away with a single quality ND filter.

Also, you are not cutting down the amount of light coming through the lens for focusing.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I don't think they wanted me to say anything. It was just their way of having a bit of fun, the swines. Strange thing is they make such bloody good cameras.
