Looking at getting a580 over t3i or 60... Help!!

Hey all,

I have been trying to figure out which camera would be my first dslr (I've been using Canon's G series (G2, and more recently the G9) all week. We found out we are having twins, so I wanted to get something nice to document all of the moments on video and through still imagery.

I read where the lens on the a580 kit wasn't the best, so I did a little research and went with something for close up shots indoors, and a larger lens for the outdoors maybe for hiking trips, Disney, and the such.. Let me know if this is sufficient.. If not, direct me in the right direction!
