what cameras make nicer skin tones?

My old K10D tends to make people's skin look like it's under a fluorescent light even when it's not. Especially my girlfriend's skin. This is awkward. Is there any difference between newer and older cameras in this area?

I don't suppose there's going to be a lot of difference between various Sony-sensored cameras, but Canon might have a genuinely different look, and my rough impression is that Canon treats skin more nicely... too bad I like them so little in other areas.
