Radian System-

To convert degrees to radians divide by 57.2 degrees.

For example, for the 6 degree angluar FOV' in your telephoto example.

6 d. 57.2 D. per radian = about 0.1 radian

What is the linear FOV at 100 meters:

FOV radians X 100 = 10 meters
