Japanese companies ARE NOT very customer oriented. This is a culture thing....customers are very scary things.

There is very slight hope that the reason they hired a western person to head Olympus imaging is more than just to costs in line but to also give better information.

Olympus will never be Apple and the two do not even make sense in the same sentence.

The world is changing hopefully they will change too but it will be a very long time.

Given they are a small company, the power of social media and working with their customers could actually benefit them, but I do not know they know how.
