RAW button, WTF?

Can anyone explain why one would want the RAW button? I don't really see any scenario where I would use it. I'm going to either shoot in RAW (98% of the time) or JPG (when I'm low on card memory and trying to stretch the # of shots I can take). It seems that it will be accidentally pressed quite often.
I just can't see a JPG shooter saying, "hmmm, I really need the dynamic range of RAW for this shot.", or even weirder a RAW shooter saying "JPG is good enough for this shot".
I was hoping that the software provides some way to lockout the button, but the user manual doesn't indicate so. I'm hoping Fuji addresses this in a future release of the firmware.
I would much prefer it to be an ISO button, freeing the Fn button for another use.
