Is almost 8 weeks a long time for a warranty repair?

On January 6th 2011Precision Camera recieved my K7 for a warranty repair it is now March 3rd 2011. Waiting for parts with no ETA is the message I keep getting. I've called Pentax and learned that although they list Precision Camera as a warranty station they have nothing to do with the problem and I must take it up with PC. If I want Pentax to handle it I should have PC send the K7 to the Pentax repair center. After 8 weeks I don't consider this an option! Lesson always send your camera for warranty repair to Pentax and not any warranty station listed on their website. I also asked the Pentax representative at what point would they consider the camera unrepairable due to unavailable parts. Would it be 3 months, 6 months or 1 year? They wouldn't answer the question. I'll update this thread as time goes on and on for this repair.
