Epson 3880 and Roll Paper possibility
Feb 28, 2011

I just bought an Epson 3880 to replace/supplement my aging, dye-based, HP 8750. I would like to benefit from the economy of roll paper even though the 3880 doesn't directly support it. Never having used roll paper, my question is can most rolls be easily mounted on stand-alone paper holders? I have such a holder that is 25" wide and has a center wood spindle 3/4" in diameter. It was meant to hold butcher type paper and similar, but I think should work with photo rolls. I could have it on my table next to my Dahle 552 cutter and simply cut to size and save some money on paper. Any reason why this won't work? Are the cores too wide/restrictive, etc? Thanks in advance.
