I will always own a take-everywhere camera but almost sold my Canon XSi. I actually had it on sale on Craigslist when someone in the Micro Four Thirds suggested keeping it.
I haven't used very much the past year for various reasons, but took it out the past two weeks. It's still a pain to carry but none of the many types of cameras I've owned come close to it's versatility and performance. And, hey, it's only an entry-level dslr used with cheap lenses.
I hope to get a future version of the Sony Nex and Canon Sxxx. I'll use my DSLR for only very special occasions.
If you're thinking of selling your DSLR but can afford to keep it, consider keeping it.
