I've always thought of RAW files as "black holes", where ISO and exposure correction are only part of the meta data, just like white balance. I can understand the need to add a "bias" in order to correctly record the whole sensor range including noise without clipping. I can not understand the idea to put premultiplied values into the RAW file. It's useless.
