Am I doing this D90 folder naming wrong?
Feb 23, 2011

I'm really enjoying my new D90, but I am puzzled by the "active folder" system.

I use Bridge/PS4 for the NEF files. And, unless I'm reading/doing it wrong, every image is saved in the "Active Folder" (default folder) unless I create a separate folder and make that folder the "active folder" each time I use the camera?

To segregate two image sets, then, I have only choices: download the active folder , then create folders in the computer and drag-drop the images into those separate folders with whatever naming convention I use, or, I create folders in advance in the camera, and switch the active folder for each shooting session to keep those image sets separate?

Is there a more automated in-camera workflow that creates separate folders with sequential numbers?
