How did you get RAW histogram? I wonder what it will show for G1 files. I did fast test, and ISO400 exposed with -2 EV corrections show very, very similar amount of noise to ISO1600, but has more analog look, without clusters etc. Also it gives me much better control over highlights.
I have to make more tests but it looks very promising.

I think there will be no reason to go further than -2EV correction if we still want to be able to review photos in the camera.
