D700 Deficiencies?

D700 Deficiencies?

I have a D300s that I purchased last year, with the idea of at sometime getting an FX and have purchased lenses suitable for the FX. It now appears a successor to the D700 is close at hand, and prices on the D700 might come down in the next few months. I'm not a professional photographer, so I don't need a D3. So my question is, what is missing from the D700 that might be fixed in the new model? I'm not asking for guesses about what the new model might add, but what do you owners feel are the D700 deficiencies or short comings, anything critical? The only thing I wish it had was a second card slot, because I like to do RAW plus JPEG on separate cards, but I guess that's not a big deal. For a non-professional, are there any reasons not to get the D700 while they are available?
