Does dpreview slow your computer down?

I'm finding that every new page I open on dpreview causes my CPU usage to hit 100% for a while. If I open several at once then I can't even scroll down for a long time.
I suspect it's the ads on the side doing it. Is anyone else finding the same thing? I know someone has to pay for this site, but if this is what's doing it then it needs to be toned down a bit, or another way found.
