Immediate ?s for E-PL1 Newbie

Just got my E-PL1 a few minutes ago. So far, so good.
But a few questions have srpung to mind, that need your answers.
1) Do I want the VF-1 or VF-2? What's the difference?

2) How do I go about deciding which adapter to use to couple to other non-E-PL1 specific lenses?

3) I have the stock 14-42 lens. What's a good entry level shorter and longer lens? Will it require the purchase of an adapter?

4) Is there a recommended and reputable source for additional batteries(3rd party)?
5) A source for a E-PL1 manual?

That'll do it for the moment. I'm sure there will be more.
