My Epson 2200 is dead. What is next?

Actually, it is not dead completely, I just refuse to invest to revive it. It has been sitting in a closet for a couple of years and no two colours do not show at all. Many, many cleaning cycles, hand cleaning with alcohol and windex - no joy. I've wasted all my backup cartridges and I believe it is better to simply get a new printer at this stage. Time to renew.

So, since I've been out of business for quite a while, could the collective wisdom advise which one is a decent replacement? In old days it was all Epson world + Canon trailing behind. What is it these days?

I plan to do occasional 8x10+ prints but no larger then 13x19. Colour and B&W. Primarily matt paper or semi-gloss. No massive 4x6 prints. I used to print on Ilford paper but I am not sure if this is still around.

I am interested in quality vs. cost of ownership.
