New SIGMA APO 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM -and other lenses

I've been holding on for Sigma to add OS to the nice 50-150mm - but the with the new version being 50% longer and 77mm front element rather than 67mm, I'm not sure. Part of the attraction of the old version is its compact size - think I'll rather look for good deals for the non-OS (or the similar Tokina).
