White balance pre-set
Feb 8, 2011

I'm trying to figure out how to use the pre set function of the white balance on D7000. I figured out that you go to the preset mode on the WB and take a picture of a white card under the lighting condition that you are shooting in save the setting under d1 for example. and if the lighting changes again, you would repeat the above steps but save it to d2. if i'm going to shoot basketball photos would i use the 70-200 2.8 to shoot the white card or can i use my 16-85 3.5-5.6. does it make a difference on what lens is used for the white card?i would be using the zoom lens for most of the photos. also is it better to use the S mode and let the camera determine the aperture and i guess 1/500 is fast enough for basketball. Any suggestions or helpful would be most appreciated.
