Sony releases E-mount specs for free

'Sony Corporation announced today it will disclose the basic specifications of its “E-mount” for interchangeable single lens cameras, without fee , to manufacturers of lenses and mount adaptors, starting April 1st, 2011.'

Carl Zeiss AG, Cosina, Sigma and Tamron are on board. It looks like the mirrorless space is about to get more heated. Does Samsung NX have any such support yet?

For a company that has long been known for it's proprietary designs, this is pretty cool. Is Sony turning over a new leaf?
