Dell U2711 vs Lightroom 3.3 colour calibration?

Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help me on this. I just bought a Dell UltraSharp U2711 monitor and I have problem with it's colours. Actually, I'm not very sure what the problem is, as it only comes up in Lightroom.

I calibrated the monitor with a Spyder 3 Pro calibrator. The same one I used to calibrate all my monitors so far. All the colours in windows and other programes are spot on but in lightroom, the colours in general look dull and the red channel over-saturated. In Library mode, the reds look fine but as soon as I click the "Develop" tab, it all goes mad.

Anyone knows what's happening here? I am guessing the wide gamut capability of the screen has something to do with it but I don't want to use the monitor in sRGB mode.
