...that the K-5 still commanding high prices is a good thing?
Earlier Pentax DSLRs suffered a significant price drop after 3 months in the market, but the K-5 still commands close to list price at most US sellers. This suggests that Pentax has finally hit a home run with this camera and doesn't have to drop the price to sell it. A lot like Nikon, in fact. Hopefully the profit from K-5 sales will fund the development of even better cameras in the future!
Sorry for those waiting for a big price drop before buying. Be patient; you will see lower prices eventually...
