60D Does Yoga on a Tripod. The ultimate macro camera?

I have a Manfrotto 190XProB Aluminum Tripod legs ($150) and a Giottos MH 1302-655 Ball Head ($129).

This thing rocks with a 60D mounted onto it. I have not found a position from ground level to max height where this can't go while still seeing the screen perfectly.

Here are some shots taken with a crappy pro-1, and no tripod, of course. They suck, but you do get an idea of what the 60D is capable of without any monitoring devices.

The tripod setup is rated for something like 18 lbs. Good to have a little overkill in a tripod when it gets windy. My old 8 pounder was solid as a rock.

If you own a 60D, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10 for the pro version with the horizontal device, which allows for ground level shots.

The screws are just barely close enough to hold the head tight on the outside edge. I can't get it to budge by hand, so it's solid.
