Printer stopped working

My HP 2100 Laser Jet printer stopped printing. The orange and two green lights remain on after booting up the printer. The printer will not accept a print order.
Does not appear to be a Windows XP Pro problem because even with the computer off, the printer lights remain on. The computer does not have to be on for the printer to be ready to accept a print order.
Any suggestions?
