Purple fringing- D7000
Jan 20, 2011

Recently purchased a D7000 and have been getting to grips with it over the last few days. Wasn't all that difficult as my previous camera was a D300. Taking a shot of the neighbours garden and tree opposite and was surprised to see a lot of purple fringing on the branches against the sky. Had a Nikkor 24/70 pro lens on with hood that I had previously used with the D300 without any hint of fringing, purple or otherwise. Tried a Nikkor 18/200 on the same shot but could not reproduce the aberration. If I remember the D300 automatically removed fringing, the D7000 obviously does not. It's no real problem, just surprise - especially with the 24/70. Any comments welcome.
