AF issues: D7000 and Nikkor AF-S 35 mm f/1.8
Jan 17, 2011

Hello,

I have the following problem (like some other):

  • D7000 with AF-S 35 f/1.8 needs AF fine tune +7 for sharp pictures at daylight and infinity at f/4.0 or wider open.

  • D7000 with AF-S 35 f/1.8 needs AF fine tune +7 for sharp pictures at daylight and distances between 1 and 15 meters at f/4.0 or wider open

  • D7000 with AF-S 35 f/1.8 needs AF fine tune -12 for sharp pictures at warm tungsten light and distances between 1 and 15 meters at f/4.0 or wider open

Is Nikon able to adjust this body/lens combination to focus correctly in daylight at infinity and in tungsten light at nearer distances?

The issue is there, I know what i'm talking about, so please no tips concerning the test-setup. I took several hundred photos to proof it (AF-S, cross-type, tripod, no shaking).

AF in live view is perfect in all situations.

Regards

Ralf
