New user... what lens to buy first?

New forum member, just bought my first DSLR (it's been 20yrs since I took classes with my old Minolta 35mm). These forums were of great help in deciding on what to get. I ended up getting the Canon T2i with the standard 18-55 lens. I would like to get a good all purpose lens and a good telephoto lens and I'm looking for suggestions from the experts.... any help would be greatly appreciated!
