GH2 Stills / Video / War Horse

Went to see War Horse during a long weekend in London and happened to have my GH2 with me in the show, along with 45mm F2.8 lens.

After shooting a few stills I realised I was not really getting fast enough shutter to freeze motion.

So I decided to try the video. This also shows off the amazing puppetry in the show with 3 people operating life-size horse puppets with beautifully observed mannerisms.

While stills are where my real passion for photography lies, I do like to have video available, and for these 'snapshots' I think video was a better choice than stills.

The show itself was fantastic with the horses being operated magnificently and supported by a great cast. It's entering its fourth year in London, with a Broadway version in production for 2011 and Spielberg has also bought the film rights.
