S95 first impressions: overrated if you have used a Fuji F20/30 before.

I got a Canon S95 today. First impressions are that it is a nice camera, but nothing ground-breaking if you have used a Fuji F20/30 before.

The low-light capability looks no better than my 2006 Fuji F20 that I paid $150 for brand new. Go figure they both have 1/1.7" sensors, except my F20 was less than half the price.

Nice control ring. Decent UI.

Video sound is excellent. Low-light video is decent and probably slightly better than my Flip Ultra HD.

I took a couple ISO 800 pics with the S95 and my 450D dSLR. Not even close to being in the same ballpark. 450D is way better its not even funny (even with the kit lens). Not unexpected, but I guess I was hoping for a surprise given all the hype/reviews I've read on this camera.

If I can find the charger to my Fuji F20, I will post some comparison shots. But my guess is that low-light pics in the ISO 800/1600 range will be similar.
